NGO Berit’s Missions

Group of missions

and volunteer service

The NGO Berit is a Catholic association that belongs to the Secular Institute Crusaders of Mary, which provides volunteer opportunities in defense of the dignity of the person and their development within their social and personal spheres

Introduction

In 1987, answering St. John Paul II’s call for the New Evangelization of the Church in America, the Crusaders of Mary responded by initiating the Missionary Support Groups “John Paul II”.

In 2003, this group  became NGO Berit to enable many young people to answer their desire to give themselves to others, dedicating a summer or year to helping those most in need. From the very first moment, an important activity of missionary support started from  Spain and Germany and spreaded to various countries in the Americas and later in Africa. Missions can been carried out in Peru, Mexico, Cuba, Angola, Mozambique and Cameroon.

School of Volunteering

The School of Volunteering, within the NGO Berit, provides a platform for integral formation and accompaniment for participating in volunteering or mission projects.

For several years, it has been seen the greater sensitivity of young people towards service activities. For that reason the Crusaders of Mary, in the places where they are present, respond to this need by providing concrete activities to enable them to get out of themselves to give themselves to other in their most urgent needs.
